Safer Bedsharing

In this episode of the Birthful Podcast, we are going to be focusing on safer bedsharing. New parents are constantly being told that putting their babies to sleep in bed with them is risky behavior that should be avoided. Despite this, bedsharing has doubled in the past two decades. To guide us through this conundrum, I’ll be talking with the very knowledgeable Teresa Pitman.

About Teresa Pitman

Teresa has written thousands of magazine articles on parenting topics and is the author or co-author of 17 published books, including some titles you will certainly recognize such as The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding, Dr. Jack Newman’s Guide to Breastfeeding, and Sweet Sleep. At the time of this interview, she’s helped breastfeeding parents and babies for 35 years as a La Leche League Leader and she’s also the mother of four children and the grandmother of six.
